Snowing Again

It is snowing around here again today. We have probably had a few more inches accumulate in the yard today, not near what they are getting in the mountains I am sure. I am taking Hannah to the father and daughter dance tonight so I am hoping it stays like it is now, just a few flakes now, as she is really excited to go. Anyway this is just a quick shot out the back earlier that I converted to black and white just to play around a bit.

Snow

So I was saying the other day that I would rather have snow than the wind and it looks like we got it, though not in the amount of 5 feet that I said (unless you live in the mountains) which probably makes a lot of people happy. I know not everyone likes the snow as much as I do but after the last month of spring temperatures our snow pack went from way above normal to taking a significant drop, so we really needed another round of snow storms to be sure our area has all the water it needs over the summer. With the really fluffy couple inches of snow in the yard this morning I decided to go out back and see if I could find anything that peeked my interest, nothing like doing a short photo walk in your own backyard. Out of the few things I found I liked how the green of these tulip bulb leaves looked against the white snow.

Bad Dog!

This is what it looks like when the dog is in trouble and he knows it. For some reason he has taken up getting into the bathroom trash lately and these were taken right after he was found out. He totally knows he is in trouble when I call him upstairs, in a very friendly voice hoping he will not realize I know what he did, and he still refuses to come upstairs but goes and gets in his kennel.

Bryan and Julie

Went out a couple weeks ago and took some photos for Bryan and Julie to use for their wedding invitations. These are a few of them from that day. This was the main reason Bryan was in a suit for the other photos I did of him. They dressed up in more vintage style clothes and we went out in the desert behind their neighborhood and did several different poses to come up with a variety of photos for them to choose from.

Bryan Continued

Went threw these photos again today and picked out a few more I liked. I like the look of these but they make me think next time we should go for an old time private detective look, something like the old Dick Tracy films.

Spawning Salmon

These are from last fall up at the Lake. We were out taking pictures of the fall colors and stopped by the creek the salmon spawn up as someone said the spawn was peeking. I need to take the kids up next year to check this out as I think they would like to see it.

Jumping Back to Fall Colors

Took a jump back today to play with a few more of my images from this last fall. Something I need to get better at is keeping only the images I know I want and getting more aggressive with the ones that need to be deleted. I also need to get better at processing all the photos I take just after they have been taken. I think the fall colors and the Reno Air Races are the two things I usually have a problem doing this with as I end up taking a lot of pictures of these two things, so it ends up being a lot to go through to get rid of the stuff that needs to go and edit the stuff I want to keep. Maybe next I will jump into some of the Air Race photos I still want to edit and put a couple more up here.....
