Heading Down The Tracks

Over the weekend we spent sometime doing some exploring around Boca with the kids. We were actually walking around some of the area where the old town of Boca used to be which is near the train tracks so when the train came by we hung out and let the kids watch it go by. So exciting when you are a little kid! Actually I find the train somewhat interesting as well as there is a lot of history that surrounds it.

This one I was trying to do a panning shot, shooting at a slow shutter speed as you pan with the subject, to get the feeling of movement. It worked out a little different than what I was thinking because I really needed to be further away than I was but I still kind of like the effect I got out of the shot.

California State Railroad Museum

A little over a week ago we took a trip down to Sacramento just to get away for the day. It was nice to get in a little warmer weather than what we have been having around here. The first stop down there was at the California State Railroad Museum. This was our second time taking the kids there and they really like to walk around and look at all the displays and there are a few cars you get to walk threw. They also have a nice size display area with model trains, mostly Lionel brand.
