Car Museum

Here are a few more shots from the car museum. I still have several more shots I would like to play with but it seems like life gets to busy at times, so hopefully I will get to more of these soon.

Hood Ornaments

Beth, the kids and I all went to the National Automobile Museum last week for an outing. There are a lot of really cool cars there going clear back to a few steam powered models. In a place like this where it is going to be hard to get any real interesting photos of an entire car one interesting thing to do is to focus more in on the details in the car's design. One area to do this, especially with the older era cars, is the hood ornaments. For the most part I don't think they do anything like these anymore except maybe on a Rolls Royce or something like that and I am not sure that they do either, so they make real a interesting subject.

Las Vegas

A couple weeks ago some friends of mine got married in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Casino. The reception was on the 64th floor in the Mix Lounge, which had a really cool view from the balcony. This shot is actually a few images taken from the balcony and then merged together in Photoshop Elements.

Zoe

I wanted to work on learning how to merge several images of the same subject into one image in Photoshop Elements. So I photographed Zoe on a white seamless so I could merge each image easily in PSE. This was my first attempt at this and I think it turned out decent with a couple things I would maybe change the next time around.

More Snow

We got just a bit more snow here last night, nothing compared to what they got in the mountains, and there is a chance for snow all week. Now that we have plenty of snow pack around here I think I am ready for the Spring and getting outside more often. These were taken first thing this morning in the back yard before it melted.

Go Ahead, Make His Day

I did several more photos of Bryan and Julie the other day and this is a couple from the end of the day. I put one flash on a stand directly behind him and had another flash on a stand in front. I like how the look and lighting on these worked out, he kind of has the look of the marshals and federal agents from the 30's-40's era.
