Here is another photo I did of a Snow Flower when I went out again a couple weeks ago. There were a lot more popping up this time and I had a macro lens with me so I tried a little more of a close up approach on this one.
One morning while the girls were getting their schooling with Grandma Poole I went for a hike along Galena Creek. The Snow Flowers were really just starting to poke out of the ground and this was the largest one I saw that day. I am hoping to go up there again maybe next week and see if I can find more to photograph.

Here are a couple close-up photos of a moth we found in the backyard today.
Probably everyday we have some doves hanging out in the back yard so I figured I would see if I could get some decent pictures of them. The hard part is getting close enough to them, even with the 500mm lens I had on, to get a decent picture. It also helps if you can keep the dog from running out the door as soon as you open it!
This is one of the shots from my first attempt at photographing smoke. I used an incense stick to provide the smoke then just tried different ways of fanning the smoke trying to get some interesting designs. I got the idea from some photography another guy did that looked pretty interesting.
I was trying some different stuff today doing a self portrait so I thought I would put one of those up here. This is an image I was actually going to toss as the original is pretty dark but I started playing around with it bringing up the brightness, adjusting the contrast, converting to black and white and then adding some grain for a bit more of the look you get from film B&W. From all that I get this.
